Personal Project Exhibition Nomadic
The exhibition 'Nomad' invites us to embark on a visual journey through the landscapes of Sofia Plantus (1988, Chisinau, Moldova), who shows us some of the places she has called home in recent years.
Each image is more than a simple representation of a landscape; it is a testament to the personal transformation experienced by the artist in each corner. It reveals how each environment influenced her identity and perception of the world. 'Nomad' immerses us in a unique experience where the connection between the individual and their environment becomes the protagonist of each work, inviting us to reflect on our own relationship with the place we believe we belong to, even if only for a specific period in our lives.
In each canvas, the artist shares her intimacy and makes us contemplate the contrasts of her inner journey: the solitude that accompanies the search for new horizons, the vulnerability of feeling exposed to the unknown, or the strength that arises from accepting one's own fragility. 'Nomad' is more than a painting exhibition; It is a poetic testament to the human condition and the constant search for belonging in a constantly changing world.

Personal Project Exhibition Retrospect
Our personality is forged through a multitude of lived experiences that mark us in one way or another. The exhibition “Retrospection” invites us to reflect on the imprint these experiences leave on who we are.
The same room, the same character, but the atmosphere changes according to what the protagonist is feeling.
Each painting contains symbols, colors, and the character's position, describing what is happening within.
This personal project gives a face and a name to both moments of happiness and the traumas that human beings internalize until they become part of them.

Sketching is an essential part of my ongoing development as an artist. I carry my sketchbooks with me wherever I go, always ready in case I come across a beautiful place or a quiet moment to draw. Here are a few of them.
These sketches, predominantly measuring 29.7 × 21 cm or smaller, have been created using a variety of techniques, including pencil, charcoal, chalk pastel, watercolor, and mixed media. The works are executed on a range of surfaces, from lighter and darker recycled papers to traditional drawing paper and watercolor paper, with each material contributing its own texture and character to the pieces.
Art is so much more than a profession, an idea, or a fleeting emotion. This collection of works is presented like a photo album with 32 artworks—a glimpse into the moments that have shaped my creative journey. Because art is deeply woven into my personal life, I invite you into this corner of my world.
These small works, each measuring approximately 9 × 12 cm, are created in pastel on recycled paper, mounted in mat boards and attached to recycled cardboard. Alongside the drawings, the album includes collage compositions incorporating dried natural elements such as flowers, leaves, and feathers, as well as small handwritten personal messages.
Each piece represents a memory—a quiet reflection on the fleeting nature of life, much like the dried flowers it contains. Yet beyond this gentle sense of nostalgia, the feathers speak of the ways we have learned to fly alongside the people we love, carrying with us the moments that continue to shape who we are.
